The F-100D Super Sabre, serial 52-2950, served with the 81st Tactical Fighter Squadron in 1958 at RAF Bentwaters and later George Air Force Base. As part of the 81st TFS, the aircraft flew training, air defense, and tactical strike missions during the early Cold War period. The D model featured an improved wing, autopilot, and armament systems, allowing for better performance and ground attack capability.
