Hobbyrama is committed to protecting your information and providing secure, trustworthy payment options online and in-store.

1. Website Security

  • All transactions are protected by SSL/TLS encryption (128-bit or higher).
  • Sensitive data is transmitted directly to our payment gateway partners and never stored in plain text on our servers.
  • Firewalls, intrusion detection, and regular patching are used to maintain a secure hosting environment.
  • We monitor for suspicious activity and comply with the Australian Privacy Principles and PCI-DSS standards.

2. Payment Methods & Processing

Hobbyrama uses PayPal and other secure gateways to process online payments. These services handle all card authorisations and store card data in bank-grade facilities.

  • Payments are fully automated with immediate response from PayPal or your chosen provider.
  • Your full credit-card number cannot be viewed by Hobbyrama or any outside party.
  • All transaction data is encrypted and protected within PayPal’s secure data-centre.

We may share limited information with PayPal or other processors only as necessary to process payments, resolve disputes, or prevent fraud.

BNPL services are subject to each provider’s approval criteria and responsible-lending obligations. By using them, you agree to that provider’s terms.

4. Fraud Prevention & Verification

To protect our customers and business, we may use automated fraud-screening tools and manual verification for higher-risk orders. We reserve the right to request identification or cancel orders that cannot be verified.

5. Age-Restricted Items

Certain products — including spray paints, aerosols, cutting blades, and similar items — are not sold to persons under 18 years of age. We may request proof of age for these purchases online or in-store. Orders that cannot be verified may be cancelled and refunded.

6. Data Sharing & Confidentiality

Your payment information is shared only with the service providers directly involved in processing or refunding your transaction. We do not sell or disclose financial information to marketers or unrelated third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Customer Responsibility

  • Keep your account credentials private and use a strong, unique password.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised activity on your account.

8. Gift Cards & Store Credit

Hobbyrama gift cards and store credits are a convenient way to share your hobby with others. Please review the following terms:

  • Validity: All gift cards issued by Hobbyrama are valid for 36 months (3 years) from the date of issue, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
  • Redemption: Gift cards can be redeemed online or in-store for any available product, excluding additional gift cards.
  • Balance enquiries: Balances can be checked by contacting us at hobbyman@hobbyrama.com.au or by phone on (07) 3352 3333.
  • Non-transferable: Cards are treated as cash and cannot be refunded, replaced if lost or stolen, or exchanged for money.
  • Partial use: If your purchase is less than the remaining balance, the unused amount will remain on the card until expiry.
  • Store credit: Store credit issued from returns or promotions follows the same conditions and expiry period.

Gift cards or store credits used fraudulently, or obtained through unauthorised means, may be cancelled without notice.

9. Accessibility Statement

Hobbyrama strives to make its website usable by everyone. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) where practicable and regularly review our design for readability, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader compatibility.
