Severomorsk is a modern, Russian, and previously Soviet, classic-propelled destroyer. The keel for this unit was laid in 1984, the launch took place in December 1985, and the entry into service took place in 1987. The total length of the ship is 163.5 meters and a width of 19.3 meters. Full displacement is around 7,900 tons, and maximum speed is around 34-35 knots. The on-board armament of the ship includes, among others: two quadruple SS-N-14 rocket launchers, 8 SA-N-9 rocket launchers, two single 100 mm cannons and 4 30 mm AK-630 sets. The unit is based on two Kamow Ka.-25 or Ka-27 helicopters.
