Trumpeter 1:700 HMS Queen Elizabeth 1941 Plastic Model Kit

HMS Queen Elizabeth was laid down on October 21, 1912, and launched on October 16, 1913. She was completed at Portsmouth Dockyard in January 1915 and cost approximately £2.4 million.

In 1926–1927, she underwent a refit and modernization. From August 1937 to October 1940, she underwent a second major modernization.

On December 19, 1941, HMS Queen Elizabeth was sunk by Italian frogmen while she was in Alexandria, Egypt. She was salvaged and repaired, and in 1943 she rejoined the British Eastern Fleet, taking part in operations against Japan in the Far East.

She was finally retired from service in August 1946 and sold for scrap in 1948.
