The Blackburn Buccaneer was a British low-level strike aircraft, it was issued in June 1952 as Naval Staff Requirement NA.39. First flight was on 30 April 1958. The Buccaneer entered Fleet Air Arm service in 1962. The first RAF unit to receive the Buccaneer S.2B was 12 Squadron at RAF Honington in 1969. Serving with the Royal Air Force until 1994, including service in the 1991 Gulf War.The Buccaneer was a mid-wing, twin-engine, two-seat with folding wings aircraft. It had nuclear weapon capability.
