Sweeping it Under the Carpet is one of Banksy's recognisable pieces and was created in 2006. It shows a woman dressed as a maid who is sweeping dirt under the cover of a brick wall. The piece is said to represent the western world dealing with global issues such as the AIDS epidemic as being the main issue in 2006. The artwork appeared in North London.
