The Avro Lancaster Mk I bomber, with squadron code AR-G and serial number W4783, was operated by No.460 Squadron RAAF during World War II. It flew nearly 90 combat missions over occupied Europe and is now permanently displayed at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.
