Translating to ‘war fishing trawler’, the Kriegsfischkutter was an ambitious project by World War Two Germany to produce various naval craft, based on a fishing boat hull. They could perform different roles depending on the equipment fitted - patrol/escort, minesweeper, training, anti-submarine etc.
