Boeing 787-9, construction number 38504, was delivered to Qantas Airways as VH-ZND in 2018 as part of the airline's fleet modernization program. The aircraft operates long haul routes from Sydney and Melbourne to destinations in Asia, the United States, and South America, gradually replacing older 747s and A380s on selected services.
