The US Navy Battleship Indiana (BB-58) is the second South Dakota-class battleship. she was launched in 1941, and whe she joined the Pacific Fleet and went to the front-line, she participated in the Battle of Tarawa in 1943 and the Battle of the Philippine Sea in 1944. She entered the reserve forces in 1946 after the war, and was retired in 1947. The Indiana received nine service stars for her service during WWII
