The Sukhoi Su-33 (NATO: Flanker-D) is a Soviet, twin-engine interceptor, with folding wings. The flight of the aircraft, which is a development of the Su-27, took place in 1987. The entry into service on the aircraft carrier ''Admiral Kuznetsov'' took place in 1994.
