Tamiya 1:48 Howitzer Motor Carriage

The M8, developed by U.S. designers during World War II, was designed as an upgrade to existing half-track vehicles. It utilised the M5 light tank chassis with an open turret on top, housing a 75mm M3 howitzer capable of firing anti-tank, smoke, and standard rounds. A total of 1,778 M8s were produced between September 1942 and January 1944, and they saw service in various theaters of the war, including Italy, Western Europe, and the Pacific.

The kit features interior details of the turret, such as sights and gun breech, along with the distinctive sleeve covering the howitzer. The suspension is realistically captured with an ergonomic parts breakdown for easy assembly. The included assembly type tracks consist of one-piece straight sections. The kit also includes one commander figure and offers two marking options for customisation.
