USMC-operated M60A1s were among the first AFVs to reach the Persian Gulf War that mushroomed following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990. Having originally been deployed in 1965, this veteran AFV needed updates to deal with modern missile technology, in the form of reactive armor.
