The Tsum 1000 series is a respresentative ventilated freight car that was introduced in 1950 and was used throughout the country. The Tsum 1 series, which was the first ventilated freight car with a capacity of 15 tons, was converted to the Tsum 1000 series when it was modified to a two-stage link structure, but some cars were built as Tsum 1000 series from the beginning.
