The V series Mitsubishi Pajero was released in January 1991 as a full-model change. The hard-top wide XR-II model was especially popular with its short wheel base, off-road maneuverability and comfortable interior space. It was a flagship model of its class, and became a best-selling off-road 4WD vehicle.
