The Rockwell International OV-10 Bronco was the winner of a competition to design a Light Armed Reconnaissance Aircraft (LARA) for the United States Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps. The first aircraft were delivered in 1969, and the OV-10 had already seen action in the Vietnam War. The aircraft was highly versatile, capable of operating from short runways, with a takeoff run of approximately 225 meters.
