US Navy SEAL (full name: United States Navy Sea, Air and Land) is the name of a special unit serving within the United States Navy. It was formed by a special order of President John F. Kennedy in May 1961, but it dates back to the World War II special unit of the US Navy called UDT (Underwater Demolition Team).
